After last Tuesday I’ve found myself in my new temporary location. Our group of IT volunteers showed up Tuesday evening and started my cube and Jason’s office apart. The lift made dozens of trips to balcony carrying boxes stuffed with software, keyboards, computers and the like; this avoided hauling the stuff up the stairs and it was just plain fun. Once all the boxes and computers came to a rest the next task was to have a simple place to work on Wednesday, so I set up my work station on an eight foot folding table and pulled a temporary cable from the server rack so my box would be on the network.
It was a fun and uneventful evening with the exception of the email which caused Dustin to leave. It will take some time to get settled into my new digs, but it will be fun getting a chance to organize.
Tuesday evenings have become my favorite workday. I love working with this team of volunteers and I glean so much from each of them. I look forward to building a deeper relationship with each of them. Way to go team… you Rock!
